Our vision is to design facilities that support educators and students to thrive in 21st century learning environments that provide opportunities for students to not only learn from the instruction provided by their teachers, but also from the design and systems that we create within the school building.

Due to the forecasted snow and hazardous travel conditions forecasted for 2/28/2023, all North Kingstown School Department schools will be closed and all after school activities are canceled.

Hello DMS 8th grade families!
Team teachers are excited for our in school workshop with Nature's Classroom next week! Team D students will be enjoying this experience on Monday, October 17th and Team R students will partake on Tuesday, October 18th.
Here are a few reminders to make sure that your child has the best experience possible:
1. We will be outside rain or shine so encourage your child to dress accordingly
(Students shouldn't wear new shoes/favorite clothes) and bring a raincoat/poncho if the weather is calling for rain.
2. Students should bring water bottles (with their names on them).
3. Students should bring a snack for our mid-morning break.
4. Lunch will be in the cafeteria, as per usual.
Also, we are still accepting donations to help pay for this activity. The cost is $39 per student and any donation amount will be accepted and is appreciated! Checks can be made out to DMS.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Bagwell (Team D) or Ms. Kozun (Team R).
We are looking forward to a fun day!

Good Afternoon,
This morning at 8:24am, DMS was notified by the NKPD that a passer-by had notified them of an individual dressed in red in the vicinity of our school making threatening statements. DMS initiated a lockdown which lasted approximately 20 minutes while the police conducted a search for the individual. While continuing to check the area of DMS, police also responded to the Davisville Academy in case the caller identified the wrong school.
The individual has been located. Police have learned this is an isolated incident and that there was never any type of planned attack on any school. No weapons were shown and no one was injured or required medical attention.
The police department is confident that there is no further potential danger to any school. Students have returned to their regular schedule and the day will continue as planned.
Sincerely,
Barbara Maher
