Library Book Policy
Basic Policy
- Students may check out 2 books at a time
- Students must have NO overdue books or fines in order to check out books.
- Books can be checked out for 3 weeks.
- If students need to renew books they should email sunny_dennis@nksd.
- Books will be quarantined for 7 days after being returned (based on guidelines from the CDC)
How to get a library book
- To get library books, you must place a hold using Destiny Discover, our online library catalog
- Go to the website: wms.nksd.net
- Click on Academics, then library. Then online library catalog
- Log in in the upper right corner:
User name: first name_last name
Password: 8 digit birthdate (month day year no spaces)
- Find the book you want and click on the hold button.
- You should receive an email when the book you placed on hold is available.
Ebooks and audiobooks
- If you are logged in you can check out ebooks and audiobooks
Picking up and returning library books
- When your hold is ready, you should receive an email letting you know.
- You will pick up your library books on a cart outside the library. Ask your teacher if you can go!
- Return your books when you are done in the bin outside the library.
