Hello Wickford Middle School Families and Friends!
I hope that you have all had a great week!
Congratulations to our Girls and Boys Cross Country teams who competed yesterday in the Divisional Championships. The Girls team captured First Place and the Boys team finished in Second place! Amazing results…both Charlotte Saadeh and Jack Alcorn finished first in their races. The combined results for both teams placed WMS far above any other school. In the JV race another first place was earned by a fantastic finish from Declan Graves!
Both of our soccer teams concluded the regular season as well with impressive victories over Jamestown. Congratulations on amazing seasons to both teams! (We are still waiting to see if the Boys team will get a spot in the playoff rounds.)
Important cafeteria Announcement:
If families have not already made an application for the Lunch program, please do so as soon as possible. This is an application that has to be renewed each year. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Hemingway’s quote above stresses Grace. In our community today, the recognition of grace has never been more important. Among the myriad pressures of life that we all experience, it is all too easy to fall into despair, frustration, impatience, and have unkind responses to these pressures. Encouraging courage, tempered with Grace can only lead to greater civility in our daily lives.
Have a great weekend!
