Student informational meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 25th in the WMS Cafeteria at 2:30.
Wickford Middle School is looking to implement a Technology Student Association (TSA) chapter for this year. TSA is a national organization for middle and high school students whose mission is to enhance personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
As part of this mission, students can compete in STEM related competitions involving engineering, computer science, and design criteria. The Rhode Island Competition will be held on Thursday, March 12 from 9 - 3:00 at URI. Students will leave school and return around 3:30. A list of available competitions and their descriptions can be found here.
Any student interested in attending should report to the cafeteria on Tuesday, February 25th after dismissal (2:30 PM) to learn more about the organization and sign up to participate in the RI competition.
